The soil moisture sensor of the SMS400 series (Soil Moisture Sensor) is low power, very affordable, durable and provides an excellent response to sprinkler control systems. They put a voltage related to the water content of the soil. They can also be used as a water level sensor.
Applications: sprinkler controller, soil moisture monitoring highly saturated water, moisture monitoring in the soil or pots, and water level measurement.
It has a temperature sensor on the surface, an accelerometer, it emits an 868Mhz radio receiver (optional 433MHz). The receiver works with solar energy or battery, emits by gprs (3G) and has gps location.
